The Story behind
Sheldon Jewelers
In 1985, Sheldon had just sold his last business venture and was looking forward to starting a new career in the jewelry business. Sheldon was a road salesman in the jewelry business, he knew the business, and had contacts in the business, so he started a small retail shop on Hartford St. in Framingham. After 3 years he moved to a better location on Rt. 9 in Framingham, where we have been located the last 35 years. In 1987, Sheldon started buying jewelry in order to keep the business going and years later it has become a major part of our business.
In 2004, Russell, Sheldon's son, decided to go to jewelry design school in Boston at North Bennet Street. There Russell learned how to create jewelry and learned jewelry repair work. While attending the school, Russell discovered the Computer Aided Design programs, creating more opportunities for the store. Russell is now running the business with his father Sheldon, and his niece Ella . With over 20 years of experience repairing and restoring antique jewelry, our store does it all.
